With course work focused on public relations, public speaking, intercultural communication, digital marketing and more, our communications & mass media program will teach you how to connect with others in a profound way and become a competent storyteller. You’ll explore how to write for print, documentaries, broadcast, online journalism, public relations and advertising while perfecting your skills in interviewing, research and copy editing. Through your studies, you’ll gain understanding of the impact and effects of mass communication on different cultures, as well as mass communication law and the First Amendment.

Our program’s faith-based curriculum teaches you how to craft effective, compelling messaging through the integration of technology and communication principles so that you’ll become prepared to enter a dynamic, innovative and growing field. Learn creative design and communication, including digital media, research and writing skills, digital design theory and application, marketing analytics and web design. Our digital media degree teaches you how to use fundamental concepts of communication and demonstrate appropriate levels of research and writing skills. Exhibit proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software and utilize digital design practices and principles. You’ll also learn how to identify and apply professional networking skills through various forms of media.

Students who are admitted into the SEU Carolina School of Arts & Media are eligible to receive scholarships. Award amounts are divided over a four year period. Additional scholarship funds are available for SEU Carolina School of Arts & Media students
